Crossing East Preview Event - Seattle, Jack Straw Productions, February 17th, 2006

MediaRites held a listening session at 2pm on February 17th at Jack Straw Productions in Seattle.

35 people attended to listen to excerpts from Crossing East pieces, to hear music from Crossing East musicians, and to discuss what Crossing East could mean to them.

Producers Dmae Roberts, Sara Caswell Kolbet and Ruby de Luna were on hand to present and discuss their pieces. Arvid Hokanson of KUOW announced the airing of Crossing East on KUOW and helped present the performances.

Musicians Daran Kravanh and Angelo Pizarro performed and discussed their roles in the program, while interviewee Esther Simpson was also present to field questions.

The atmosphere was relaxed and supportive, and was a great incentive to hold more listening sessions across the country.
